On April 5th, 2018 at about 12:27 p.m., an earthquake estimated to be 5.3 magnitude hit about 16 miles off the east end of Santa Cruz Island. This video shows the reaction of a Bald Eagle mother and her three eaglets when the earthquake hit. The first portion of the video is a close-up view. It is followed by a zoomed out view that includes the family’s reaction afterward.

Disclaimer: The eagles may be misidentified and the description is my interpretation of what I viewed and may not be accurate. The information was what was available at the time this video was uploaded to YouTube.
